FPÖ MP sues AUA press spokeswoman

The FPÖ National Council member and regular AUA customer Peter Wurm and Austrian Airlines will probably no longer be friends: The politician announced in a press release that he would file a lawsuit against a press spokeswoman for the airline. He accuses her of making false claims about him. The background to this is that there was a disagreement between Wurm and the crew of an AUA flight regarding the way in which the mouth and nose protection was worn. The crew informed the executive, who questioned the National Council member after landing. The accounts of the incident vary widely. Peter Wurm writes in his press release: "Due to my experience on board Austrian Airlines and the public reaction of the airline, I have decided to file a lawsuit under Section 1330 ABGB for an injunction and public revocation against the press spokeswoman for AUA because of the false claims she made about me. The FPÖ cannot allow the accusations that the AUA press spokesperson made against me in the media to remain unchallenged. They are defamatory and damaging to the company's reputation. I am therefore taking legal action in this case. Unfortunately, I see no other way of defending myself in this case."
