American plans to use the B2020-Max from the end of December 737

American Airlines is aiming to restart Boeing 737-Max aircraft from December 29, 2020. Initially, this could take place on the New York-La Guardia-Miami route, reports Bloomberg, citing the reservation system. Neither the FAA nor the EASA have yet granted the necessary re-approval, but both authorities have clearly indicated that this could happen before the end of the year. Qatar boss criticizes A380 re-use at Emirates

Qatar Airways has little hope that the A380 fleet, which consists of ten units, will be used again soon. The fleet is to be dismantled from 2024 anyway, as the leasing contracts will end at that point. The ten aircraft are currently parked and in so-called long-term storage. Qatar's CEO criticizes competitor Emirates, which is gradually putting A380 aircraft back into scheduled service. That would be "foolish" and would lead to an oversupply of seats. This should also dampen the recovery in ticket prices, as Emirates would throw an oversupply onto the market, which would ultimately have to be sold off at a real bargain. This would also have a negative impact on competitors such as Qatar Airways.
