S7 Airlines announces Hanover and Cologne

The Russian Oneworld member S7 Airlines announces the start of two routes to Germany in May 2021. From May 3, 2021, the carrier plans to fly once a week between Moscow-Domodedovo and Hanover. Three days later, Cologne/Bonn will also be served. From May 7, 3, S2021 Airlines plans to fly between the Russian capital and Hanover on Mondays. From May 6, 2021, Cologne/Bonn will also be offered on Thursdays from Moscow-Domodedovo. According to the airline, aircraft from the Boeing 737 series and the Airbus A320neo family will be used. Linz: AUA registers 26 employees for the AMS early warning system

Austrian Airlines has registered all employees at the Linz ground station with the employment service for the early warning system. The carrier does not want to offer any ground handling services at the Upper Austrian airport in the future. Negotiations are underway with ISS that are expected to result in a transfer of operations. Linz-Hörsching will no longer be served by Austrian Airlines on a scheduled basis in the future. The connection to the Vienna hub was abandoned or shifted to rail a few years ago. The Düsseldorf route has been suspended for over a year and will in future be flown ex Germany by Eurowings. However, the start of operations scheduled for April 12, 2021 has been postponed indefinitely. The ground stations at the state airports go back to the former AUA regional subsidiary AAS (Austrian Air Services). This was originally founded as a joint venture between AUA and the regional airports. In the 1990s, AAS merged with Tyrolean Airways. The ground services in Linz, Klagenfurt, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Graz and Klagenfurt therefore came to Austrian Airlines in a further merger. While this activity has already been discontinued in Graz, Salzburg and Klagenfurt, it is about to be discontinued in Linz. According to AUA, there are currently no corresponding plans in Innsbruck. 26 jobs in Linz-Hörsching affected In Linz, the 26 affected employees are to be offered employment at ISS Ground Services as part of a transfer of operations. Intensive negotiations are currently ongoing on this matter. Nevertheless, the Upper Austrian employees were registered with the Employment Service for the early warning system.
