Ryanair is moving to Stockholm-Arlanda
The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair announces the start of two new routes from Germany. Flights will take place from Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden to Stockholm-Arlanda. Billund is a new addition to the flight schedule from Memmingen. Both routes are scheduled to start at the end of October 2021 and will initially be served twice a week. The flights will be operated by the subsidiary Malta Air. "As vaccination programs continue in the coming months, air traffic will increase sharply and we are delighted to announce these new routes from Baden-Baden to Stockholm Arlanda and from Memmingen to Billund from October as part of the German Ryanair flight schedule for winter '21," explains Jason McGuinness, Director of Commercial at Ryanair. From Vienna, Arlanda will now be the new option instead of Skavsta There will also be a change in Vienna. With the start of the winter flight schedule period, flights will no longer be served by the remote Stockholm-Skavsta airport, but by Arlanda, where Malta Air will station two Boeing 737-800s. In total, the airline plans to serve around 20 destinations from the Swedish capital's largest airport. On the Vienna route, flights will alternate between Malta Air from Arlanda and Lauda Europe from the Austrian capital. Two flights per week are planned for the time being. Competitor Wizz Air will continue to fly to Skavsta.
