HAJ: Martin Roll becomes the new managing director
Martin Roll will be the new managing director at Hanover Airport. This was unanimously decided by the supervisory board of Hannover-Langenhagen Airport GmbH at its 276th meeting. The 50-year-old is to start work as commercial managing director in the next few months; the exact date is still to be determined, the airport announced on Thursday. The contract has a term of four years. "I am very pleased to be able to play an active role in shaping the future of Hanover Airport. For me, air traffic is both a challenge and a matter close to my heart," said Roll. In the future, the airport will be run by a dual leadership of two managing directors. The position of technical and operational managing director is to be filled next year. The current sole managing director, Raoul Hille, will retire at the end of 2022 after 18 years, as planned.
