Possible entry: Croatia and Aegean are negotiating again

Negotiations on a possible entry of Aegean Airlines into Croatia Airlines, which were suspended indefinitely due to the Corona negotiations, are to be continued, according to Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. Croatia has been looking for a partner or buyer for the state-owned airline for some time. Before the Corona pandemic, the Spanish Air Nostrum was also interested in joining and the government was aiming for partial privatization by mid-2020. However, Corona put a stop to that. Now negotiations with Aegean are to begin again, although the outcome is still open. The government wants to renew Croatia Airlines' fleet with 12 to 15 aircraft. Vienna: Police unmask fake PCR results

The Austrian police have caught a total of 2021 people with fake PCR tests at Vienna-Schwechat Airport since the beginning of September 29. The executive states that they were mostly trying to enter the country from Albania. For 20 Albanian citizens, this resulted in refusal of entry and thus rejection. Swiss threatens vaccination refusals with termination

The Lufthansa subsidiary Swiss is toughening its tone when it comes to compulsory vaccination for flight personnel. Now it is openly threatening that people who do not get vaccinated against Covid-19 will face dismissal at the end of January 2022. Among other things, a Swiss spokesperson said: "If the required vaccination requirement is not met, we will be forced to initiate measures due to the breach of duty in accordance with the collective agreement (GAV)." However, this step should not be taken without warning, as it is also being offered that the employment relationship can be suspended for six months while a decision is made. This is an unpaid leave, so there is no entitlement to pay during this time. If individual Swiss employees cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, individual solutions will be sought for them.

Finnair enters the PCR business

Oneworld member Finnair is entering the PCR testing business. These tests are offered directly at the company headquarters near Helsinki Airport for 99 euros. The carrier promises that the results will be delivered the following day at 9:00 a.m. "Our customers have liked Finnair's corona testing service and we are pleased to be able to expand our offering to include PCR tests. Iran is opening up to tourism again

Air Baltic has added Riga-Dubai
