Klagenfurt: shareholders disagree on the content of the general assembly

The Carinthian state government did not want to comment on this matter.

FACC supplies 1.000 sets of thrust reverser housings for the Airbus A350

FACC can celebrate a milestone in the area of long-haul aircraft: The aerospace group recently handed over the 1000th A350 engine cowling to its customer Collins Aerospace. Since the project started in 2010, FACC has invested around 50 million euros in the development and manufacture of the components in order to be able to offer Airbus a thrust reverser housing that is as light and therefore as fuel-efficient as possible, and to align the production line with the highest efficiency and ergonomics. A good 50 employees are currently working on the program. "The long-haul aircraft segment is developing somewhat more slowly than the short and medium-haul segment. However, we assume that as the restrictions on transcontinental travel are gradually lifted, the demand for A350 aircraft will also continue to rise," says CEO Robert Machtlinger. The aerospace supplier is experiencing increasing demand as the aviation industry increasingly recovers. According to FACC, air traffic in the USA after China has increased sharply in the last six months and is now only 15 percent below the record level of 2019. Demand for new short- and medium-haul aircraft is increasing by 4 percent in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Deutsche Aircraft is building at Leipzig / Halle Airport

The aircraft manufacturer Deutsche Aircraft has submitted its building application for the final assembly of the D328eco aircraft on the premises of Leipzig/Halle Airport. Approval from the Saxon building authority is expected by December and the groundbreaking ceremony is planned for the second half of 2022. By building the final assembly line in Leipzig, Deutsche Aircraft will make an active contribution to revitalizing the regional economy by creating up to 300 new jobs at the site and supporting the development of Saxony's aerospace industry. The support of the Federal Ministry of Economics' "Improving the Regional Economic Structure" funding program, or GRW for short, is crucial to the success of the project. "The cooperation with Leipzig/Halle Airport enables us to build in an ideal location in the heart of the European Union and to use the airport's extensive experience in aerospace. In addition, we are proud to be making a contribution to promoting the economy in the region," says Nico Neumann, Vice President Operations and Programs at Deutsche Aircraft. "The Central German airports will be the birthplace of a highly modern aircraft. This is something special for us emotionally. We could hardly bring a more suitable industry to the site to further develop our location in terms of quality.
