The collective agreement negotiated between the flight attendants' union Ufo and Lufthansa Cityline was accepted by the members of the employee representatives with 95 percent approval. The collective agreement presented concerned in particular significant improvements to salary structures. The current salary scale will be increased in two steps. In a third step, an inflation bonus will be paid and the company pension scheme will be adjusted. In addition, the agreement includes a resumption of professional development measures and an agreement to negotiate open questions about the need to adjust management structures in due course. "With this high level of approval, we have received a very clear signal from our membership that we have negotiated improvements precisely where they were most urgently needed. In times of galloping inflation, we were able to provide noticeable relief for the CityLine cabin and take into account a social component for lower income groups. The agreement means an increase in the guaranteed monthly remuneration of around 19,2% in starting salaries and at the top end of the table still an increase of 13,4%," said Joachim Vázquez Bürger, UFO board member and negotiator at Lufthansa CityLine.
