Cologne/Bonn had 8,8 million passengers

Cologne/Bonn Airport had around 2022 million passengers in 8,8. This almost doubled the figure achieved a year earlier. Cargo volume was 971.000 tonnes. For the first time since October 2019, more than a million passengers were welcomed in one month - three times: in July, August and September. The positive development is mainly due to holiday traffic. Passenger numbers to tourist destinations exceeded the 2019 level by six percent. Flights to Spain and Turkey were in particularly high demand in 2022. Around nine million passengers are expected for 2023.
