Smartlynx connects Munich with Ras Al Khaimah

The Latvian airline Smartlynx will connect Munich with Ras Al Khaimah from autumn 2023. The flight from Munich to Ras Al Khaimah was organized and initiated by the tour operator FTI. Turkey has been considered an essential country for Russia since the beginning of the war. However, the USA has been demanding that Turkey impose sanctions since the beginning of the year. Turkey has at least partially implemented this demand and has announced a ban on refueling Russian aircraft. For Russian airlines such as Aeroflot or S7, traveling to Turkey will now be much more problematic.

Mavi Gök Airlines continues to expand its fleet

Turkish airline Mavi Gök, which launched in 2022, is planning to expand its fleet. Two Boeing 757-300 aircraft will soon be added to the fleet. Seven ex-Westjet B737-600 are cannibalized

The Canadian Westjet has sold seven Boeing 737-600s to Aventure Aviation. These are now being dismantled for the purpose of obtaining spare parts. February 2023: Brussels with 1.362.145 passengers

Iberia increases Spain-Portugal traffic

The Spanish airline Iberia is increasing traffic between Spain and Portugal in the summer of 2023.
