However, the charter flight had to make a stopover in Cluj. The reason for this is that there is still no official passport control by the police at Remetea Airport. Since Romania is not a member of the Schengen Agreement, a stopover had to be made. According to Boardingpass.ro, Aeroexpress Regional announced during the celebration that it would start a non-stop connection between Budapest and the new Romanian airport next year.

Summer holidays 2023: BER expects 3,5 million passengers

The German capital airport Berlin-Brandenburg expects to have around 2023 million passengers during the current summer holidays in 3,5. It is assumed that around half a million more people will travel through the airport compared to the same period last year. The downside, however, is that the BER management has also announced that it will probably not be able to match the 2019 figure. It is forecast that there will be around 2019 million fewer passengers in direct comparison with the six-week summer holidays in 1,5. At that time, they were spread between Schönefeld and Tegel because BER was not yet in operation. "BER is well prepared for the start of the holidays. With the digital offerings that have been expanded again, passengers can plan their start to the holidays stress-free and reliably. Use the options for checking in and dropping off baggage at our machines and book a time slot for the security checks on the BER runway in good time," says Managing Director Aletta von Massenbach.

Tyrol’s first “digital holiday hotel” will open on August 1, 2023

According to their own statements, Tyrol's first digital holiday hotel is opening in Wildschönau. The initiators of "Das Lenz" speak of a bold step. The investors and developers Dominik Stadler, Patrick Kraisser and Michael Thaler are behind the project. However, it is not a new building, but an old building that has been extensively modernized. After the renovation, it should blend in well with the landscape of the Kitzbühel Alps. The operators assure that the hotel will correspond to the latest findings in modern hotel construction. Digitization is to play a very special role. "What has already worked at every airport in the world for years will also be possible in a modern hotel," says manager Patrick Kraisser with certainty. Reservations have been accepted since April 2023 via booking platforms such as Booking.com. After that, the customer journey will "take over the rest". However, the operators have not disclosed what exactly this means. The opening is scheduled for August 1, 2023. Managing Director Kraisser says that the booking situation is "excellent". Furthermore, the 28 apartments are said to have already been sold to buyers from home and abroad. They can now be operated as a hotel. What guests can expect in what is said to be the first digital hotel in Tyrol will become clear after the hotel officially opens.

75 percent of Austrians see a loss of purchasing power

The ongoing wave of inflation hit Austrians hard in the first half of the year. In a recent survey of 1.200 households conducted by the tariff comparison portal Durchblicker in May/June, three quarters of households stated that their household income had fallen or that the increase in income had not offset their additional expenses due to inflation in the first half of the year. Almost six out of ten households find the additional burden to be massive: according to the survey, 58 percent say that their fixed costs have increased sharply to very sharply since the beginning of the year. 34 percent have to resort to an emergency fund to cover their living expenses, 17 percent are overdrawing their accounts or bridging the additional costs with loans. "Due to the high inflation, Austrian households remain pessimistic about the future development of their personal financial situation, although not quite as pessimistic as recently. The sharp rise in rents and food costs is causing more and more households to worry. Their situation with energy and fuel costs has eased somewhat. However, households should take a close look at how much they are currently paying to their electricity and gas providers. The price differences and thus the savings potential are currently considerable," explains Martin Spona, Head of Consumer Finance at Durchblicker. Falling real incomes - people in Burgenland and Salzburg most affected In comparison to other federal states, the loss of purchasing power hit Burgenland the hardest: more than 92 percent of Burgenland residents say that their household income has decreased or that the increase in household income has not offset the additional expenditure caused by inflation. In Salzburg, this applies to 80 percent of households, and in Upper Austria to 78 percent. Vorarlberg and Carinthia fare best: even
