Climate change: Kraus-Winkler does not see Austria's ski areas in danger

Austria's Secretary of State for Tourism, Suanne Kraus-Winkler, believes that domestic winter sports resorts should be better prepared for possible challenges that could arise from global warming than those in other countries. The government member refers to a French-Austrian study. Among other things, this study concludes that most ski areas in Austria are prepared for a temperature increase of around two degrees Celsius, as they already have around 50 percent of artificial snow options. The study also says that artificial snowmaking only contributes a relatively small part to CO2 emissions. "Climate change poses challenges for all ski destinations across Europe and requires sustainable and future-oriented solutions. This makes it all the more gratifying to have scientific confirmation that Austria is already a pioneer in this field and that skiing will continue to be possible in the coming decades," said Secretary of State for Tourism, Susanne Kraus-Winkler, on the occasion of the recently published study on the future of Europe's ski areas.

The hangar contains the latest technologies for operations and production, such as automated logistics, fully digital devices and test stations that provide the status of the individual fuselage sections (both in terms of logistics and resources) at all times. The almost 24-meter-long fuselage components are equipped with all electrical and mechanical systems as well as other elements such as windows, floor panels or external antennas on an automated “pulse line” consisting of eight stations. Each fuselage section is extensively tested immediately after the systems have been installed. The fuselage sections are then handed over to the final assembly line in Hamburg. The stations in the new hall were planned in close consultation with the employees in order to ensure both an efficient production flow and an ergonomically optimized and modern

They also failed to offer snacks and at least water. The authority, which reports to the Ministry of Transportation, therefore imposed a fine of 4,1 million US dollars.
