Beyond Air starts ticket sales and conceals stopovers

After several delays, the airline Beond Air, which markets itself as a "luxury airline", plans to start the long-announced flights from Munich and Zurich to the Maldives from mid-November. The flights will be operated with Airbus A321LRs, which have 68 seats in business class. Passengers are promised particularly luxurious travel, but a closer look at the offer shows that the seating is not really a big deal, as a 2-2 configuration is offered on board the narrowbodies. The seats do not offer any special luxury, but are an "off-the-shelf" product. However, the airline will not be flying with Airbus A321LRs from the start, as an Airbus A44 with 319 seats will be used initially. This is 19,7 years old and has the registration 8Q-FBA. This aircraft was previously used by Sundair and Easyjet, among others. Depending on the fare class booked, up to 60 kilograms of luggage is included, which is divided according to the piece concept. A maximum of 20 kilograms is included per suitcase. It is also worth noting that lounge access and the advertised limousine service are not included in the cheapest fare classes. In the cheapest case, more than 4.000 US dollars are due per direction. Some infrequent flyers may not be aware that the Airbus A321LR aircraft does not have sufficient range to get from Munich or Zurich to Malé without a stopover. Beond Air therefore has to make a stopover to refuel. They chose Riyadh. It is noteworthy, however, that during the booking process from Zurich or Munich
