The low-cost airline Wizz Air announces its comeback in Salzburg after a long absence. From February 2024, three destinations will be gradually served from Austria's second largest airport. They are London-Luton, Bucharest and Skopje. "We are delighted to be resuming the long-awaited flights from Salzburg to Bucharest and Skopje, as well as introducing a new route to London. In the summer of 2020, the low-cost airline surprised everyone by adding some routes from Salzburg at short notice. Destinations such as St. Petersburg and Kyiv-Zhuliany were also announced at the time. But that never happened, because even the destinations in Southeast Europe that were offered for a short time were quietly discontinued after only a few rotations. The comeback in Salzburg was repeatedly postponed over a longer period of time. At times, representatives of the company even said that it might not happen at all. Now Wizz Air wants to offer three weekly London-Luton rotations from February 8, 2024. These are to be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. From April 1, 2024, there will be three Skopje rotations per week. The flight days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. From April 2, 2024, flights to Bucharest will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. In contrast to Vienna, in
