Arrested: Woman entered security area with fake boarding pass

According to a statement from the local police, a security glitch occurred at the Indian airport in Bengaluru. A woman was able to gain access to the security area using a fake boarding pass. The woman was arrested. According to the police report, the woman's boyfriend had boarded a flight. She was determined to accompany him to boarding and is said to have forged a boarding pass in order to gain illegal access to the security area. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, she managed to pass the security check and accompany the man to the gate. But then she made a blatant mistake: after her boyfriend had boarded, she went back to the security check and explained that she had to leave the security area again because she had previously lost or forgotten her laptop. This made the officers suspicious and they explained to her that she first had to cancel her ticket with the airline. To do this, they accompanied her to a machine where she could check out. But the boarding pass was not recognized there because it was not genuine. The security guards then called the police. They then arrested the woman, who is now facing charges such as forgery, fraud and forgery for the purpose of fraud. The local public prosecutor's office has yet to decide whether she will also be accused of interfering with aviation security. In any case, no objects were found on the woman that could have been dangerous in any way.

Guernsey: Aurigny fleets out only jet

Aurigny, the regional airline based on the Channel Island of Guernsey, is to withdraw from operating jets. In future, the airline will once again operate purely turboprop aircraft. The carrier currently has a single Embraer 195, the G-NSEY. This is mainly used between London Gatwick and Guernsey. On this route, the airline plans to fly with ATR72-600s in the future. A buyer is being sought for the regional jet. The proceeds will also be used to expand the fleet. Aurigny Air Services has announced that it plans to add two additional ATR72-600s to its fleet. These are said to be leased aircraft. In 2014, the Embraer 195 that the carrier now wants to get rid of was added to its fleet. The fleet also includes two Dornier 228s. The company believes that the ATR72-600 is better suited to the business area in which it operates. It is emphasized that reliability would be higher and that costs would be reduced due to lower fuel consumption. Weight is also said to play a role, as take-off and landing fees would be lower with the turboprop.

AUA customer service under constant criticism: What's behind it?

In recent months, Austrian Airlines has repeatedly made it into relevant consumer protection programs and into the headlines of major mass media when passengers have made some serious allegations about the carrier's behavior in the event of flight irregularities. Officially, AUA always speaks of isolated cases. Allegations from passengers are "strongly rejected". Quite a few passengers are under the false impression that the price they paid for their ticket has something to do with the care they receive in the event of delays and/or cancellations. The motto: It's better to pay a little more and if something goes wrong, they will be better looked after. This makes it all the more annoying when the case then occurs and the airline from which you buy the expensive ticket does not care about anything for the person concerned. At least that is how angry passengers feel. The number of cases in which Austrian Airlines passengers report that no one has taken care of their passenger rights claims in the event of significant delays and/or cancellations is increasing. Most of the time it is because no one on site feels responsible for drinks and snacks and/or rebooking. It also happens again and again that flights are cancelled in the evening and, contrary to passenger rights, no hotel rooms are made available. This is actually an obligation that AUA must comply with, but if there is no information at all from ground handling or the hotline, then you should pay yourself and then submit it via the homepage. “Maybe” there would then be
