DRF Air Rescue has placed a firm order for seven H145 helicopters from Airbus Helicopters. Options have also been secured for three more. "DRF Air Rescue is committed to continuously improving the medical care of people in need. With the new order for ten additional H145s, we are continuing to ensure optimal service for our patients by keeping the helicopter fleet as modern and flexible as possible for our life-saving missions," says Krystian Pracz, Managing Director of DRF Air Rescue. DRF Air Rescue is one of the largest and most experienced air rescue organizations in Europe. The organization and its subsidiaries operate more than 40 Airbus H50 and H135 helicopters for emergency rescue and intensive care transport at 145 locations in Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. In addition, they are also used for special missions such as helicopter operations and day and night operations. The new version of Airbus' best-selling H145 expands the H145 multi-purpose helicopter with a new, innovative five-blade rotor that increases the helicopter's payload by 150 kg.
