At Dresden and Leipzig/Halle airports, Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG and the Verdi union have reached a collective agreement. This stipulates that employees should receive up to 500 euros more pay per month in stages. One-off payments of up to 2.800 euros have also been agreed. "We are pleased that we have reached a collective agreement with the Verdi union. This agreement marks the end of five rounds of negotiations, which were accompanied by strikes and numerous cancelled flights. The accepted offer represents the maximum balancing act between what is economically feasible and the demands of ver.di. Above-average pay increases were agreed especially for employees in the lower pay groups," emphasises MFAG CFO Ingo Ludwig, adding: "Despite the major economic challenges and the structural peculiarities that we are confronted with as a company, today's agreement has succeeded in substantially addressing the needs of employees. The collective agreement thus contributes to the economic stability of MFAG and secures employment in the long term."
