In the Austrian Airlines incident, the aircraft sustained significant damage after entering the hailstorm. The pilots were forced to make an emergency call to ensure the safety of the passengers and crew. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the incident highlights the seriousness of the situation and the need for adequate preparation and response by the flight crew. The aviation industry has developed various measures to minimize the risk of hail damage. These include improved weather forecast systems that allow flight crews to fly around hailstorms or take countermeasures in good time. In addition, aircraft are often equipped with special materials and coatings to mitigate the effects of hail. Nevertheless, the force of nature remains a potential
