Icelandic low-cost airline Play Airlines has expanded its flight connections by launching the new Play Connect platform. This platform, developed in collaboration with technology partner Dohop, allows passengers to book flights to new destinations in the US and Europe in one booking process. The first partners include Norwegian, Azores Airlines and Skyexpress. With Play Connect, travelers have access to 600 weekly flights, opening up a total of 80 new destinations, including destinations in the Scandinavian countries and the Greek islands. Play Airlines already offers connections to 40 destinations with its modern Airbus A320/A321 fleet. The new platform also offers the option of booking combined flights with different airlines, which significantly increases the flexibility and range of travel options. The platform also includes a service that provides assistance in the event of flight delays or cancellations. The expansion of the network through Play Connect aims to increase the customer base and generate additional revenue. This is made possible through partnerships with other airlines that allow Play Airlines to operate beyond traditional interline and codeshare agreements.
