“Rock Me Amadeus” back at the Ronacher after summer break

Falco, the legendary Austrian musician and pop star, is returning to Vienna in a new, spectacular production. "Rock Me Amadeus - The Falco Musical", an in-house production of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW), will celebrate its revival in the Ronacher Theater after the summer break from September 14, 2024. This complex personality is portrayed in a lively and captivating way in "Rock Me Amadeus - The Falco Musical". With this production, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien are presenting not only another musical world premiere, but a piece that was developed especially for Vienna and for Falco fans around the world. Border guards strike at Heathrow Airport due to dispute over working hours

Border guards at Britain's largest airport, London Heathrow, began a four-day strike today. The background is a conflict between the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union and the Home Office over new duty rosters that have been in force since April 2023. Around 650 employees are striking to protest against what they perceive as stressful working hours. Employees then plan to work strictly to the rules and refuse overtime from September 4 to 22. However, the strike is unlikely to have a major impact on travelers, as border controls only take place upon entry. The union is calling for more flexibility in duty rosters to improve employee well-being. The Home Office is stressing its willingness to continue talks and to minimize disruption to travelers as much as possible.

“Tarzan” in Stuttgart: A gripping and successful show

The musical “Tarzan” at the Palladium Theater Stuttgart takes the audience into a fascinating world of music, dance and acrobatics. The story, which is based on the 1999 Disney film of the same name and the classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, is brought to life in an impressive production. With music by Phil Collins and an extraordinary stage design, the musical succeeds in impressively portraying the essence of the jungle and the moving story of Tarzan and Jane. “Tarzan” can currently be seen at the Palladium Theater Stuttgart, operated by Stage Entertainment Germany, which is located directly opposite the Apollo Theater on the grounds of the SI Center near Stuttgart-Echterdingen Airport. A gripping story full of emotion “Tarzan” tells the story of a little boy who is washed up on the coast of Africa as an orphan after a shipping accident. There he is taken in by a gorilla family and grows up as one of them in the jungle. But as the boy grows into a young man, he begins to ask questions about his true origins. His encounter with the researcher Jane Porter ultimately turns his whole life upside down. Tarzan is faced with the difficult decision of whether he wants to live in the world of humans or animals. The production in the Palladium Theater leaves nothing to be desired. The actors who embody both the humans and the animals show an incredible physical presence.
