Air Serbia starts nonstop flights to Shanghai
Air Serbia will offer a new non-stop connection between Belgrade and Shanghai from January 11, 2025. Serbia's national airline plans to operate the route twice a week during the winter season. Flights from Belgrade will depart on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while return flights from Shanghai to Belgrade will take place on Wednesdays and Sundays. The route will continue to be served in the 2025 summer schedule, which begins on March 30. Ticket sales have already opened. The launch of the new route to Shanghai comes just weeks after the opening of the flight connection between Belgrade and Guangzhou at the end of September. Air Serbia sees this expansion as a contribution to strengthening economic, tourist and cultural relations between Serbia and China. Shanghai, a major commercial center with one of the largest ports in the world, is an important destination for Air Serbia. Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG) is one of the largest air hubs in East Asia and handled over 2023 million passengers in 54.
