As part of its upcoming merger with South Korean flag carrier Asiana Airlines, Korean Air has taken a step to redefine its brand identity. The airline, which has a long history in the international aviation industry, has not only completed the merger with another major player in the industry, but is also using this opportunity to modernize its image and introduce a new aircraft livery. Leaks that surfaced on March 10, 2025, show the first aircraft to wear the new design – a Boeing 787-10 – landing at Seoul Gimpo Airport after a livery refresh. Piaggio Aerospace delivers P.180 Avanti EVO with night vision system for the first time

Piaggio Aerospace, the Italian aircraft manufacturer, recently delivered the first P.180 Avanti EVO executive aircraft to a customer in North America. This particular model was equipped with a new pilot night vision assistance system that significantly improves visibility for pilots in night and low-visibility conditions. The manufacturer, which was acquired by Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar in December 2024, announced on March 10, 2025, that the P.180 Avanti EVO is equipped with an Enhanced Vision System (EVS). This new technology is designed not only to optimize the aircraft's night flight capability but also to increase the comfort and safety of passengers and crew in demanding environments. Technological innovation for greater safety Piaggio Aerospace's Enhanced Vision System (EVS) is designed to improve pilots' visibility during night flights and in areas with limited visibility. A high-resolution digital camera system using infrared technology transmits images in real time to the pilot's and co-pilot's multifunction display. This technology enables the pilots to clearly see and assess the aircraft's surroundings, even in complete darkness or adverse weather conditions. The EVS thus provides significantly increased situational awareness, which in turn increases safety during the flight. Piaggio Aerospace calls this a decisive improvement, as night flights have traditionally been considered particularly challenging in aviation. Such innovative technologies are particularly important for VIP transport or other highly sensitive missions where passenger comfort and safety are paramount. The integration of the EVS could significantly enhance the P.180 Avanti EVO's performance in this area.

IndiGo expands international route network: non-stop flights to Europe from 2025

IndiGo plans to launch non-stop flights to Europe in summer 2025. With new connections to Manchester and Amsterdam, the airline is expanding its route network and strengthening its presence in the international market. Founded in 2006, the carrier has become India's leading airline in less than two decades. With a fleet of over 350 aircraft, it serves numerous domestic and international destinations. The planned expansion into Europe marks a significant step in the company's history. The decision to offer direct flights to Manchester and Amsterdam is based on strategic considerations. Manchester, as the second-largest city in the United Kingdom, has a significant Indian community. Amsterdam, as one of Europe's most important hubs, offers a wide range of connecting options. These new routes are intended to meet the demand for direct connections between India and these European cities. The first aircraft is scheduled to enter service in March 2025, with additional aircraft to follow in the second half of the year. The launch of the new routes is planned for July 2025, subject to regulatory approvals. Initially, there will be three weekly flights per route, with the option to increase frequency as demand grows. This expansion is part of IndiGo's strategy to expand its international presence and broaden its customer base.
