According to passengers, Munich Airport is still one of the best airports in the world, even after two years of the pandemic.

At the annual "World Airport Awards" presented by the London aviation research institute Skytrax, the Bavarian air traffic hub was awarded the title "Best Airport in Central Europe" based on a worldwide passenger survey. In a Europe-wide ranking, Munich took second place; in a global comparison, Bavaria's international air traffic hub is in seventh place, making it the only German airport among the top ten in the world rankings. In addition, passengers voted the Hilton Munich Airport the best airport hotel in Europe for the first time.

“Thousands of people work every day in the most diverse areas of our airport to offer our guests the quality of service and stay of a premium European hub. As the repeated award of the airport shows, this commitment is also noticed by the passengers. For us, this is both an incentive and a motivation to consistently continue the success story of Munich Airport,” says Airport Manager Jost Lammers.

In this year's awards, the best airport in the world is Hamad International Airport in Doha, ahead of Tokyo Haneda Airport and Singapore Changi.
