Aeroflot Group will expand its Russian-made fleet with 18 Irkut MS-21s and 34 Sukhoi SSJ-100s. For this purpose, a corresponding leasing contract was signed with Aviacapital Service, a subsidiary of the Rostec Group.
Six MS-21-310s are to be operated by Aeroflot itself. The subsidiary Rossiya Airlines is to receive 12 aircraft of this type and 34 Sukhoi Superjets. Those responsible are currently assuming that deliveries will start in 2025.
“The agreement with the lessor of the MC-21 and SJ-100 aircraft, Aviacapital-Service, is a logical continuation of the partnership with Rostec State Corporation and United Aircraft Corporation,” said Aeroflot CEO Sergei Alexandrovsky.
