Air France tests paid meals on European flights from January 2025

Air France will test a new paid meal concept on selected European flights from January 2025, reports the newspaper Le Figaro. The so-called "Buy on Board" model will initially be introduced on the Paris Charles-de-Gaulle - Helsinki and Paris Charles-de-Gaulle - Lisbon routes.

This concept gives passengers the opportunity to purchase additional meals and snacks for a fee. Hot drinks, water and a snack remain free on board. If the test is successful, Air France plans to expand the new model to other routes. The company is thus following a trend that KLM, its Dutch sister airline, is also examining.
