The Spanish regional airline Air Nostrum will offer charter flights between Zurich and Rostock-Laage from May 18 to September 28. According to the aviation portal "Aeroroutes," the route will be served once a week, every Sunday, with CRJ-1000 aircraft on behalf of Swiss tour operators. This seasonal connection is primarily aimed at vacationers wishing to reach the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

The flight time between Zurich and Rostock-Laage is typically about one and a half hours. Sunday flights allow travelers to spend the weekend in Switzerland and conveniently continue their journey to their Baltic Sea vacation spot. Rostock-Laage is Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's most important airport and offers convenient connections to numerous resorts along the coast and inland.

Air Nostrum is an established regional airline based in Valencia, serving a wide network of national and international routes. The deployment of a CRJ-1000 on the Zurich-Rostock-Laage route indicates expected demand, as this aircraft type has a capacity of approximately 100 seats. The cooperation with Swiss tour operators makes it possible to put together package deals for the region, thus increasing the attractiveness of the destination.

The resumption of these seasonal charter flights, which have already taken place sporadically in recent years, underscores the importance of direct air service for tourism in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Travelers from Switzerland and, where applicable, its catchment area will thus have a convenient way to arrive without inconvenient stopovers.
