American Airlines orders 180 CF34 engines from GE Aerospace

GE Aerospace announced that American Airlines has ordered 180 CF34-8E engines and spare parts for its fleet of 90 new Embraer 175 regional jets. This order underscores the long-standing partnership and confidence American Airlines has in the reliability and performance of GE Aerospace's CF34 engines.

Russell Stokes, President and CEO of GE Aerospace, expressed his delight at American Airlines' renewed confidence and emphasized the company's continued success in providing industry-leading products and services. Devon May, CFO of American Airlines, highlighted the critical role of the CF34 engines in the airline's success and emphasized the importance of the partnership with GE Aerospace in modernizing the fleet.

The CF34 engine family, which has completed over 2004 million flight hours and 40 million cycles since its introduction in 29, powers more than 2.500 regional aircraft worldwide. GE Aerospace has delivered nearly 11.000 CF34 engines to date and has demonstrated outstanding reliability and durability. All CF34 engines are now suitable for operation with approved SAF fuel blends.
