Austrian Airlines and the bonus program Miles & More have announced a new partner for their credit card portfolio in Austria. First Bank and Savings Bank has won the tender and will supply the new Austrian Miles & More credit cards in cooperation with the Internet banking platform George Issue in early 2026. The payment service provider will remain Mastercard still on board.
The strategic realignment of the offering aims to provide customers with expanded services and greater added value. The new card portfolio, available from 2026, offers a comprehensive expansion of the benefits package. Customers can continue to collect miles and benefit from new advantages. These include business cards for corporate clients, the integration of mobile payment services such as Apple Pay and Google Pay , and foreign currency fee reimbursement. Furthermore, premium cardholders will gain access to exclusive benefits such as business class check-in at Vienna Airport and Priority Pass access to over 1.700 airport lounges worldwide.
The existing credit cards can continue to be used without restrictions until the end of 2025. Cardholders will be informed about the change in a timely manner. Erste Bank's partnership with Austrian Airlines and Miles & More is a strategic move in the Austrian market, where credit cards with air miles programs are a popular option for frequent flyers.
