In the 2025/26 winter flight schedule, Austrian Airlines is increasing the frequency of two important long-haul connections to the USA. From December 2025, the route from Vienna to Chicago-O'Hare will be served five times a week instead of three times a week.

The connection to New York-JFK will also be increased and will be offered four times a week instead of three times a week. Both routes will be operated with a Boeing 777-200. The adjustment reflects the increasing demand and the desire to increase the attractiveness of the USA connections.

In addition to these changes, Austrian Airlines is using modernized aircraft on other North American routes such as Boston and Montreal to improve efficiency and comfort. The new capacities are aimed at better meeting the needs of passengers in winter travel.
