Belgrade Airport ended August with the title of busiest August ever. Nikola Tesla Airport handled almost a million passengers in the month in question.
Belgrade Airport has already completed July 2023 as the busiest July ever. This is now also the case in August; the airport was able to exceed all previous August records in terms of passenger volumes. In detail, Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport was able to handle 932.165 passengers, which corresponds to an increase of 30 percent in a direct comparison to the previous year. Compared to the pre-Corona year of 2019, the Serbian national airport was also able to increase passenger numbers: the airport was able to achieve an increase of around 2019 percent in relation to the pre-Corona period of 23, according to the Ex-Yu Aviation News portal confirmed.
