The Belvedere Museum in Vienna is breaking new ground in art education and is one of the first museums in the world to be represented with its own game on the Roblox platform. Art Leap Users can immerse themselves in the world of four famous works of art from the Belvedere collection. In this innovative game, players have the opportunity to take on different roles and complete interactive mini-games. The works of art that can be experienced in this way are "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt, "Napoleon at the Great St. Bernard" by Jacques-Louis David, "The Cook" by Claude Monet and "Spring in the Prater" by Tina Blau.

Since its soft launch in December 2024, the game has attracted over 300.000 players and received an excellent rating of 97%. The aim of the project is to inspire young people in particular to love art and to arouse their interest in culture and history in a playful way. Not only are the stories behind the paintings told, but exciting puzzles and tasks are also built in that allow players to learn more about the works and their creators.

"With Art Leap, we are setting new standards in digital art education," explained Stella Rollig, General Director of the Belvedere. "We want to sustainably change the perception of art in a digital world and also appeal to a broader target group." The Belvedere Museum is using the popularity of Roblox, which is used by more than 89 million people every day, to make art more accessible and entertaining. The project was developed in collaboration with the award-winning gaming studio Exclusible, which has already enjoyed great success on platforms such as Roblox and Fortnite.
