On June 30.06.2024, 150, a historic moment was celebrated at Burgas Airport: the first flight with almost XNUMX tourists from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, landed at the "sunniest airport on the Black Sea". Official guests and representatives of the diplomatic corps were present, including Stoyana Rusinova, who temporarily heads the Bulgarian embassy in Tashkent.

The celebrations included a water arch, traditional pogacha and Bulgarian lavender oil, which delighted all those present. This project was successfully implemented through the cooperation of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, the airport's concessionaire, and Avatar Tour and AsiaLuxe Travel, a leading tour operator in Uzbekistan.

“We are delighted to welcome tourists from Uzbekistan to the Bulgarian Black Sea. This start of a new route marks a special moment and we are confident that we can further expand this connection in the coming years,” said Frank Quante, CEO of Fraport Twin Star.
