Klagenfurt Airport will receive a total of 13,7 million euros from the shareholders through a capital increase. Of this, 11 million euros will be injected through the state-owned K-BV and 2,7 million euros will come from the state capital.

The city senate gave the green light for the capital increase last week. On Thursday, January 25, 2024, the general meeting of the airport company passed the necessary resolutions. The financial resources will primarily be used to modernize the terminal, build a new catering area, expand the gates and build a new hangar for the BMI base.
