The festive pre-Christmas period is one of the most beautiful and expectant times of the year. Everywhere in Vienna, the city shines in festive splendor, and the Vindobona, a popular Viennese event center, is also transformed into a true center of Christmas joy.

With a varied program of humorous cabaret performances, atmospheric concerts and magical dinner events, the Vindobona offers an experience for the whole family, for friends and colleagues - in short, for everyone who wants to enjoy the magic of Christmas in a special way.

From the premiere of the humorous Christmas show "O Pannenbaum!" to festive concerts and dinner events, the Vindobona promises to make visitors' hearts beat faster. Whether it's about the small and large mishaps when looking for a gift or the best Christmas classics in new musical interpretations - in the run-up to Christmas, no wish is left unfulfilled in this event temple.

The opening: “O Pannenbaum! – Christmas has never been so fun!”

On November 24, 2024, the Vindobona will start the pre-Christmas season with a real highlight: the premiere of the humorous Christmas production "O Pannenbaum! - Christmas has never been so funny..." With Lilian Klebow, known from the crime series "Soko Donau", and the masterful parodist Gernot Haas, visitors can expect a humorous firework display of punchlines. The two artists take the audience on a journey through the festive preparations, failed gift ideas and humorous anecdotes about Christmas. Spontaneous improvisations provide plenty of surprises and make every performance a unique experience. The premiere of this show is the start of a whole series of entertaining events that will get visitors in the mood for the festive season.

Musical highlights: “In Love with Christmas” and more

Another musical highlight will follow on November 26, 2024 with "In Love with Christmas". The "Queen of Pop, Soul & Jazz" Monika Ballwein enchants her audience together with pianist Martin Wöss and cellist Christoph Unterberger with festive melodies from all over the world. Well-known Christmas songs such as "White Christmas" or "Feliz Navidad" are brought to life in new, atmospheric interpretations. The festive atmosphere is enhanced by the musical sophistication and the inimitable stage presence of the artist, who knows how to bring the magic of the Christmas season to her listeners.

Another highlight at Vindobona is the "Dinner Before Christmas" event, which will premiere on November 28, 2024. Here, guests will be served a festive 3-course menu, while musical and acrobatic performances provide entertainment. With musical stars such as Antje Kohler, Lucia Miorin, Marcel-Philip Kraml and Lukas Weinberger as well as acrobat Valerie Lichtenwörther, the evening will be an unforgettable experience. This dinner event is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the magic of Christmas in an exclusive setting.

Christmas classics reinterpreted

Christmas songs and classics are as much a part of Advent as mulled wine at the Christmas market. At Vindobona, however, you can experience them in a completely new form. On December 8, 2024, Andy Lee Lang and the Morris Family from the USA will provide an atmospheric evening full of gospel and Christmas classics. With songs by Elvis Presley and Ray Charles, they enchant the stage and get the audience in the Christmas spirit with their powerful voices and emotional performances.

On December 10th, the event "Merry Mixmas - Insieme & Mario Berger" will provide further musical highlights. The singers Monika Ballwein, Erik Arno, Christian Deix, Rene Velazquez-Diaz and guitar virtuoso Mario Berger offer a varied program of well-known Christmas classics, original compositions and classical pieces. Here, too, lovers of the Christmas music repertoire will get their money's worth.

Rocking Christmas and Burlesque

The event "R.OCK IN P.EACE - Christmas Special" on December 14, 2024 is sure to delight fans of rock music and great music legends in particular. On this evening, the greatest Christmas hits of deceased superstars such as George Michael, John Lennon and Freddie Mercury will be heard live on stage. With a mixture of well-known songs and exciting anecdotes, this show offers a special form of entertainment that touches both musically and emotionally.

Another spectacular event in the run-up to Christmas is the "Burlesque Extravaganza - Christmas Special" on December 19, 2024. In a mixture of burlesque, dance, comedy and acrobatics, the Cirque Rouge ensemble takes the audience into a fairytale, wintry world. The performances are not only visually impressive, but also a feast for all the senses.

Singing together and swing vibes

Those who prefer something a little more contemplative can look forward to a unique Christmas singing event with Birgit Denk on December 17, 2024. Under her guidance, well-known Christmas carols and hits will be sung together - an experience that enhances the festive mood and promotes a sense of community.

For swing fans, December 20, 2024 is the perfect date: With "Let it Swing: A Christmas Celebration," Nicolas Tenerani invites you to an evening full of swinging rhythms and Christmas spirit. With a five-person band, he interprets Christmas classics from Frank Sinatra to Michael Bublé - an unforgettable evening for all swing lovers.
