Max Bögl Bauservice GmbH & Co. KG, Flughafen München GmbH and other project participants have heralded the official start of construction of the new P8 parking garage. The groundbreaking construction project stands for sustainability, mobility, efficiency and comfort, according to the airport.
With planned completion in the fourth quarter of 2026, the P8 parking garage will replace the building that has existed since 1992. The eight-story parking garage will offer innovative features such as a covered top level and accommodate approximately 3.700 vehicles, 20 percent of which will be electric vehicles. Particular attention is paid to sustainability aspects, including the recycling of demolition materials and the use of state-of-the-art PV systems for sustainable energy generation. The underground access to the existing south connecting tunnel creates a direct connection to Terminals 1 and 2.
