Corendon Airlines looks back on five successful years at Nuremberg Airport. Since the base opened in September 2019, the airline has carried over 1,6 million passengers and continuously expanded its location.
In addition to stationing an aircraft with crew, the airline is best known for its "Club Flyer", a specially designed jet in the design of 1. FC Nuremberg. The airline offers flights to up to 16 destinations, including popular holiday destinations in Turkey, Greece and Egypt.
Corendon Airlines, based in Antalya, works closely with tour operators but also offers individual tickets. The airline's importance for people with Turkish roots in the region is particularly noteworthy, as the flight connections mean they can easily visit relatives at home. Christian Hein, Head of Sales & Marketing at Corendon Airlines, emphasized that Nuremberg has become a home base for the airline. The airport's managing director, Dr. Michael Hupe, also praised the collaboration and sees Corendon as a reliable partner.
The airline, founded in 2004, belongs to the Corendon Group, a multinational tourism group. In addition to its role as a holiday airline, Corendon is also known for its marketing partnership with 1. FC Nuremberg. The "Club Airplane" has established itself as a popular photo motif and is also available as a collector's model in the Airport Shop.
