Croatia Airlines reported a net loss of EUR 2024 million in the first half of 9,5, mainly due to increased costs related to the transition to the new Airbus A220 fleet and short-term wet leases.
These losses contrast with a profit of EUR 1,7 million in the same period last year. Although revenues increased from EUR 112,8 million to EUR 116,3 million, expenses increased by 14% to EUR 125,7 million. Despite the financial challenges, the company is optimistic that the introduction of the A220 fleet will have a positive impact on future business development. Croatia Airlines transported 814.553 passengers in the first half of the year, an increase of 5,3% compared to 2023, but 15,2% below 2019 levels. Average cabin load factor was 62,3%, with international flights recording a decrease while domestic flights achieved higher load factors.
