Before the corona pandemic, Cuba was considered a very popular holiday destination. There were up to five million tourists a year. With 1,9 million travelers so far in 2023, we are still a long way from that.

The Cuban government has set a target of welcoming around 3,5 million holidaymakers for the current year. This will most likely no longer be possible. Although volumes have already exceeded the previous year's volume by 165 percent, Cuba cannot currently match the pre-crisis figure.
