Despite subsidies: Lumiwings is significantly reducing its Tuzla presence

Just a few months ago, the Greek airline Lumiwings was awarded the contract for five subsidized routes in Tuzla. These apparently do not seem to be accepted by the market as expected, because the supply is now halved.

Effective March 6, 2024, Lumiwings will fly less frequently from Tuzla to Esbjerg, Halmstad, Maastricht and Saarbrücken. Only one weekly flight will then be offered. The connection to Stockholm-Skavsta is about to be discontinued. The plan to also offer Istanbul flights in the future is currently in jeopardy. The sale of airline tickets has already been stopped. Lumiwings declined to comment.
