The Swiss airline Edelweiss has finalized its 2025 summer flight schedule and is expanding its route network to include seven new destinations. In addition, the flight frequencies to existing destinations will be significantly increased in some cases.
From June 2, 2025, Seattle in the USA will be served twice weekly, followed by Halifax in Canada from July 3, also with two weekly flights. The Georgian capital Tbilisi will be on the flight schedule from April 12 with two weekly connections. Bristol in the UK will be served twice weekly from June 2. Other new destinations include Terceira in the Azores (from June 25, once weekly), Zadar in Croatia (from June 28, twice weekly) and Calvi in Corsica (from July 6, once weekly).
Edelweiss is also increasing the frequency of flights to popular holiday destinations. Daily flights to Olbia and Cagliari are now being offered in Sardinia. Connections to Portugal are being expanded with up to six weekly flights to Faro and up to eight to Madeira. The Azores will also benefit from up to three weekly flights to Ponta Delgada and a new weekly connection to Terceira.
The offer to Southeast Europe will be expanded, with at least two daily flights to Pristina, three weekly flights to Tivat and two to Varna. In Croatia, daily flights to Split and two weekly connections to Pula and Zadar will be introduced.
Connections to Great Britain will also be expanded, with up to ten weekly flights to Edinburgh and the new destination Bristol. In addition, new flights will be offered to Akureyri in Iceland, Kittilä in Finland and more attractive flight days to Tromsø in Norway.
Edelweiss is increasing the frequencies on long-haul flights to the USA and Canada. Tampa Bay in Florida will now be served up to five times a week, Las Vegas up to three times a week - from mid-May with the new Airbus A350. Denver will be served up to four times a week, Seattle twice, Vancouver daily (also with the Airbus A350 from July) and Calgary up to three times a week. Halifax will be served with two weekly flights.
In addition, the service to Tanzania will be increased, with three weekly flights to Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar. During the summer holidays, these destinations will be served on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and in the autumn on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays.
