Edelweiss takes delivery of another A320 from Swiss

The holiday airline Edelweiss is increasing its Airbus A320 fleet to 14 units. The company announced that it would take over the machine with the registration HB-JLP from its sister company Swiss.

The aircraft in question is currently 12,7 years old and was delivered to Swiss in 2011. From next year it will be part of the Edelweiss fleet. This then grows to 14 Airbus A320s in the short and medium-haul segment.

Under consideration of latest A340 fleet Edelweiss Air will then operate 2024 aircraft in the summer of 19. In the medium term, the four-jet aircraft will be abandoned, because on long-haul flights the Airbus A350-900 will be used used by Latam Airlines takes over, form the backbone in the future.
