Egypt continues to enjoy popularity among travelers from all over Europe, and demand for holidays on the Nile and the Red Sea is steadily increasing. In addition to the ancient Egyptian cultural sites and attractive beach resorts, many vacationers appreciate the country's often favorable value for money.

To meet growing demand, numerous airlines have significantly expanded their offerings for the upcoming 2025/26 fall and winter season from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This will allow even more vacationers to enjoy the Egyptian sun even during the cooler months.

Non-stop connections and new offers from Germany

There are also a variety of direct connections and new offers to Egypt from German airports for the 2025/26 winter flight schedule. For example, Hurghada will be served several times a week by airlines such as Condor, Eurowings, Air Cairo, and the newly added Marabu Airlines from numerous German cities, including Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart. In some cases, even daily connections are available.

Marsa Alam, a diving paradise south of Hurghada, is also easily accessible from Germany, primarily with Eurowings and Air Cairo from various departure points. Sharm El Sheikh on the Sinai Peninsula is celebrating a special return, with Corendon Airlines serving it twice weekly from Germany starting this winter. Other airlines such as Lufthansa and Egyptair also offer connections to Egypt, including the capital Cairo and other destinations such as Luxor.

Extended flight selection from Austria

Austrian travelers will also find travel to Egypt even more convenient in winter 2025/26. Numerous direct flights to Hurghada from Vienna are operated by Austrian Airlines, Wizz Air, Corendon Airlines Europe, and Air Cairo, among others. Some of these routes are served several times a week.

Cairo is also directly accessible from Vienna with Austrian Airlines and Egyptair. For travelers who prefer Marsa Alam, Air Cairo offers direct connections. The variety of airlines and flight times allows Austrian travelers to plan their trip to Egypt flexibly.

More connections from Switzerland

There will also be a wider selection of flight connections to Egypt from Switzerland this coming winter. Various airlines, including Swiss, Egyptair, EasyJet, Air Cairo, and Edelweiss, offer flights to Egyptian destinations from Zurich and Geneva. Hurghada and Cairo are the most frequently served destinations.

For example, there are direct flights from Zurich to Hurghada with Air Cairo and Edelweiss, while Cairo can be reached directly with Egyptair. EasyJet also offers direct flights from Geneva to Hurghada. The increased capacity and varied flight times from Swiss airports make it easier for Swiss travelers to experience the warmth and attractions of Egypt in winter.

The significant expansion of flight offerings from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland underscores Egypt's attractiveness as a winter travel destination and meets the growing demand from European vacationers seeking sun, culture, and good value for money. The early announcement of flight schedules allows prospective travelers to plan their winter trip to Egypt in good time and take advantage of any early bird discounts that may be available.
