Gulf carrier Emirates Airline conducted a demonstration flight operating exclusively with SAF in the tanks. This is intended to show the feasibility of passenger flights being able to be operated with pure SAF in the future.

The maximum admixture limit for this type of machine is currently 50 percent. In the medium term, Emirates Airline intends to fly purely with SAF if possible. For this reason, the latest demonstration flight was carried out. The SAF used on this flight was largely equivalent to conventional jet fuel and was considered compatible with the A380's existing systems.
