In the previous week, Erfurt-Weimar Airport took delivery of another fire-fighting vehicle from Rosenbauer. Two more copies should arrive by the end of 2024.

“Safety First has always applied at Erfurt Airport. Against this background, we are pleased that with the arrival of the new Panther airfield fire engine, we can now further increase the already high safety standard at the Thuringian state airport. Today's takeover is the first step in the modernization of our fleet at the airport fire brigade," says Managing Director Gerd Stöwer.

The vehicle is the “Panther 6×6 airport fire engine 11.500/1.400/250 HRET” model from the Rosenbauer company. The vehicle has an engine power of 750 hp, which is put on the track with an 8-speed automatic transmission with a maximum speed of 120 km/h. The vehicle has a water tank with a capacity of 11.500 liters, a foam tank with a volume of 1.400 liters and also powder extinguishing material with a quantity of 250 kg.
