Just in time for the start of the autumn holidays in Thuringia, SunExpress, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, is expanding its route network to include Erfurt-Weimar Airport. From September 26th it is possible to fly directly to Antalya up to three times a week. Booking is already possible via SunExpress or leading tour operators.

“We are pleased to welcome Erfurt-Weimar Airport to our route network and to be able to bring travelers to Antalya during the autumn holidays of this year and in the summer of 2025,” says Peter Glade, Commercial Director at SunExpress. The airline plans to further expand its offering for the summer of 2025 and will offer daily flight connections from Thuringia to the Turkish Riviera.

Susanne Hermann, managing director of the airport company, is pleased about SunExpress's upcoming commitment in Erfurt and emphasizes the expansion of the flight offering to Turkey.

The direct connections are particularly attractive because of their travel times: The flights depart at night from Erfurt-Weimar to Antalya, so that guests arrive at their holiday destination early in the morning and can make the most of their arrival day - be it on the beach, on the golf course or on a first trip Hike.
