Ethiopian Airlines, founded in 1946, is celebrating its 78th anniversary this year.
The group's chief executive Mesfin Tassew and commercial director Lemma Yadecha accompanied the crew on a flight to Cairo, marking the airline's first international flight. Their dedication went beyond in-flight duties as they also assisted passengers with check-in and boarding to ensure a smooth journey.
“This event symbolizes our unwavering commitment to our passengers and our belief that true leadership lies in serving others first. Serving our passengers on this special flight to Cairo is not only a tribute to our first international flight, but also an affirmation of our commitment to the ethos of servant leadership. Since our humble beginnings in 1946, we have grown into the aviation giant in Africa that we are today and have pioneered many innovations in African aviation over time. As we mature wonderfully, our commitment only gets stronger,” said company boss Mesfin Tasew.
