Eurowings resumes non-stop flights from Hamburg to Marsa Alam

After a break of several years, Marsa Alam is returning to Hamburg Airport's route network. Starting October 28, 2025, Eurowings will offer twice-weekly non-stop flights from the Hanseatic city to the popular Red Sea resort. This new direct connection complements the existing service to Egypt, which already includes Hurghada, and is aimed primarily at holidaymakers and diving enthusiasts.

Gesa Zaremba, Head of Airline & Traffic Development at Hamburg Airport, expressed her delight at being able to offer passengers another attractive destination in Egypt with Marsa Alam. She emphasized that the direct connection with Eurowings represents an ideal addition to the route network to sunny destinations, with guaranteed swimming all year round. Marsa Alam is known for its pristine beaches and diverse underwater world, with famous diving spots such as the Elphinstone Reef.

The flights from Hamburg (HAM) to Marsa Alam (RMF) are scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:50 a.m., with a flight time of approximately five hours. This allows travelers to reach their destination on the Red Sea conveniently without a stopover. Tickets for the new connection can be booked via the Eurowings website and app, as well as through travel agencies. Marsa Alam is considered a paradise for divers and nature lovers, but there are also national parks and archaeological sites to discover off the water.
