The regional association “Farm Holidays” in Carinthia has published its new catalogue and an accompanying magazine. Under the motto “An ideal world that lasts a long time”, the catalogue, with a circulation of 30.000 copies, offers a detailed overview of 465 member companies and 218 alpine huts. The new feature is an additional magazine in A3 format, which is intended to accompany guests through the seasons with varied stories and practical tips.

According to Edith Sabath Kerschbaumer, managing director of the association, they use the catalog as an important marketing tool to increase the visibility of the offer and reach new target groups. Despite the trend towards digitalization, print products remain of great importance. A recent survey shows that 80% of landlords surveyed are satisfied with this year's summer season. Demand for autumn 2024 looks stable, with short-term bookings increasing.

Guests place great value on farm activities and authentic experiences. Sustainability is also becoming more important. The average length of stay has increased to over 7 nights and the proportion of repeat guests remains high. Online bookings are becoming increasingly important, with revenue reaching €2,5 million by July 2024.

The 465 member companies offer a total of around 5.200 beds and record around 780.000 overnight stays annually. The guests come from 48 nations, with Germany and Austria being the main sources. The association is able to gain around 20 new member companies every year and generates added value of over 76 million euros.
