In June 2021, around 300.000 passengers were affected by flight disruptions in Germany alone. An analysis by the Airhelp portal shows that flights to Turkey and the Canary Islands in particular were affected by delays and cancellations.

According to Airhelp, for example, around 90 percent of passengers who flew from Düsseldorf to Tenerife have had longer waiting times. After Fuerteventura it was 67 percent. It is noticeable in the statistics that Düsseldorf and Frankfurt am Main stand out particularly with delays and cancellations.

In general, however, it can be seen that almost half of all flights between Germany and Turkey were affected by flight disruptions. Just a few weeks ago, a tumult at Düsseldorf Airport caused a sensation. Pegasus did not provide enough ground crew, so that many passengers could not even hand over their luggage. In the following days, the connections were made from other airports.
