A change of managing director is imminent at Geneva Airport, as the board of directors has decided that Gilles Rufenacht will be appointed the new airport director.

The replacement is necessary because the current incumbent will begin his well-deserved retirement next year. André Schneider has been in charge of the airport in western Switzerland since 2016. His successor, Gilles Rufenacht, is expected to take over management in autumn 2024. He is currently working in the management of the Hirslanden Hospitals.
